Roof Systems
As with the frames, we can supply and install any roof system on the market, however we normally use the 'Global' roof system. To define the terminology, a roof system comprises a structural aluminium skeleton covered with uPVC (in a colour to match the frames), which can be fitted with either glass or polycarbonate units to complete the roof.
See the Global website for further information and some informative video clips.
24mm Pilkington 'Activ' or 'Blue Activ' Glass Panels
This clear or attractive blue glass designed by Pilkington combines dual action, self-cleaning products with solar control performance for a cooler internal environment. It is a revolutionary glass perfect for use in conservatories. It uses daylight and rainwater to breakdown and wash away organic dirt from exterior surfaces. The unique blue colour allows plenty of light into the conservatory, keeps internal temperatures cool and looks great!
Polycarbonate Panels
The 'Heatguard' polycarbonate roof panels are made with a high-insulating polycarbonate and is available in a variety of thickness and colour, each one computer-tested for strength and durability. The Opel Heatguard (25mm or 35mm) is our recommended option as anti-glare properties reduce the need for internal roof blinds, and with the Opel on the inside, light is reflected back into the conservatory at night.
Tiled roofs
For a truly traditional look, have you considered a tiled roof to your conservatory? An example of a tiled conservatory roof fitted by Clover, along with many other examples to inspire you, are shown in our Gallery.
